Over the course of the last two years, God has been teaching me a lot about submission and trust, whispering into my heart, reminding me that He is sovereign. On some of the hardest nights, He quietly reminded me to trust Him to put into my hands the things He asks me to carry while also letting Him take out of my hands the burdens I was never meant to carry, so keeping my hands open for Him became a central focus in all things.
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” ~Isaiah 43:19, NIV
As August unraveled with more and more families enquiring about the school, I couldn't help but ask God if it was time to shut down additional enrollments. From our perspective, it seemed I had too much, but in my heart, I knew God was saying again that He needed my hands to stay open; He would close doors, not me. So we trusted even under intense pressure, and as our Great God always does, He made a way. Had we not kept our hands and hearts open to His leading, we would not be where we are today.
The Birth of Something Bigger
Today, after many months, we are not only a growing ministry, but we have also answered His call to step out into our own journey as a local Not-for-Profit school apart from Pinehaven Christian Children's Ranch. We are beyond grateful for all the ways Pinehaven helped us launch this ministry while also recognizing that God has a bigger plan than we can imagine. So we are excited to begin this new ministry under the name of Mission III Academy.
We believe that God has a great plan in store for this ministry; our job is to keep our hands and our hearts open.
