MIIIA Objectives

Our mission is to train up children in the way they should go spiritually and intellectually in cooperation with God's Mission to Love Him, Love Others, and Serve Both. The core of our objectives is two-fold; we believe our spiritual objectives coincide with our educational objectives in a wholistic approach to raising up students into lifelong Kingdom-builders.

Our Spiritual Objectives:

  • Build and strengthen God’s community of believers.

  • Empower families to actively develop and grow in their faith.

  • Ground students in the truth of God’s Word, building a firm foundation in Him.

  • Advance God’s Kingdom, nurturing servant-leaders to carry out the Great Commission.

Our Educational Objectives:

  • Provide an encouraging environment founded on Christian principles.

  • Challenge students to build independence and responsibility with utmost respect for God-given authority.

  • Foster the development of teamwork, cooperation, and compassion.

  • Promote a strong work ethic in all endeavors.

  • Enforce a biblical worldview where students see God’s design in all subjects.

How We Operate

We are officially a private, Christian school, but we operate as a hybrid of homeschooling and in-person learning/activities. See below for more details of how we operate.

Academic Standards

Mission III Academy meets all standards as set forth by the Illinois State Board of Education. Consequently, enrolled students must complete all core coursework through the curriculum provided by MIIIA including PE. All students receive a PE policy that accommodates absences and remote students. Academy students also complete a Bible course every year they are enrolled in the program. High school students receive opportunities to earn dual credit and can graduate with a large portion of an associate's degree completed.

Student Records

Mission III Academy keeps a permanent file for each student who completes coursework under our direction. A copy of a birth certificate also becomes part of each student file.

School Day Policies

Kindergarten-2nd grade: We expect students to work in cooperation with the facilitating teacher, enabling an environment conducive to learning. The teacher holds authority to correct student behavior using appropriate incentives, and will inform parents and work with them to help each student reach his/her full potential. Parental involvement is crucial to the success of each learner at this level, and parents are ultimately responsible for the educational outcome of each student.

3rd-12th grade: We expect students to complete work in a timely manner. Students who negligently fall behind receive various consequences for late work as outlined in the student handbook. The Academy reserves the right to make exceptions in the event of special circumstances. Students will begin coursework on the first official day of school and will complete their studies by the last official day of school; summer school is a last resort and must be approved by administration. The Academy sets deadlines and standards with the intent to teach students time-management, discipline, consideration for others, and self-motivation. We desire for each student to develop a strong work ethic and a responsibility for their overall success.

Student Welfare

MIIIA staff operate as mandated reporters and closely follow the Rule of Three. We take the safety of our students seriously, ensuring various guards to protect them while they are in our care.

All policies and procedures of the Academy are racially non-discriminatory, and we admit students of any race, nationality, and ethnic origins. They receive rights, privileges, programs, and activities available to all students through the institution.
